Stumbled on Random Article

I found this article, which may or may not be of relevence depending on what exactly we decide to do. I know that for the assignment we need to have an example of libraries using our software tool effectivly (or not) and I thought this may tie in somehow...

From what I remeber volunteering at parkdale school OPAC is a database that hold information on books, periodicals, etc., including publication info and descriptions of books? Although the wikipedia definition is telling me that I may be thinking of something else... but you know wiki.... it may or maynot be correct :)
